Main Project Features
The study aimed to elaborate methodology for multi-criteria assessment of the socio-economic situation of the regions (oblasts) of Kazakhstan and develop an Internet-based information system for recording, monitoring, and managing resolution of regional issues that create regional development disparities and concern rural population.
Activities Performed
Developed a multi-criteria assessment methodology “Regional Competitiveness Index” (certificate of authorship issued by the Ministry of Education and Science), conceptualised interactive service, formulated ToR for web designers, led the development and deployment of the system, performed data collection, and test-run an assessment of the regional situation.
