Main Project Features
The study aimed to conduct an ex-post evaluation of the JICA-financed Astana Water Supply and Sewerage Project. It included a collection of data and information about the current status of equipment purchased under JICA loan to renovate the pumping station at Vyacheslavskoye water reserve, inspection of water processing facility and wastewater treatment plant in Astana, meetings with municipal authorities and utility management enterprises, customer satisfaction survey of industrial and individual water consumers and other relevant stakeholders.
Activities Performed
Organized visits of OPMAC project evaluator, facilitated all meetings with project stakeholders, accompanied the evaluator for site visits to project facilities and pants, prepared and conducted customer surveys (~200 interviews), and contributed to the preparation of project evaluation report.
