Main Project Features

The project aimed to strengthen the capacity of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Mongolia to develop sustainable and inclusive policies and mechanisms for transboundary infrastructure connectivity within the context of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Activities Performed

Conducted a study on the present status of transport infrastructure, development plans, and co-deployment opportunities of ICT infrastructure with roads and highways, railways, pipelines, and power transmission lines in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Mongolia including analysis of transport sector challenges and opportunities, policy, legislation, regulation, governance, investment, and technology. Prepared study report covering three countries that contributed to a global study report published by UNESCAP in February 2020.
