Main Project Features

The aim of the study was to prepare a comprehensive assessment of political, economic, and legal aspects of Kazakhstan’s joining the Green Card insurance system the impact of such membership on domestic and international road carriers.

Activities Performed

Contributed with: (i) defining possible options and scenarios of Green Card accession and their financial impacts/value for various stakeholders; (ii) assessment of financial expenses for the country to comply with the requirements of the Council of Bureaux; (iii) forecasting and calculation of risks for the insurers; (iv) assessment of costs and benefits for key stakeholders (carriers, insurers, and others) for various membership scenarios in the Green Card system; (v) assessment of business models of domestic road carriers following the accession; (vi) assessment of the possible impact on/from Kazakhstan's membership in the Organization of Economic Cooperation and the White Card civil liability insurance programme.
