Main Project Features
The project assisted the Government of Kazakhstan, represented by the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development, in developing a comprehensive 7-year concept for the country's transport and logistics sector. The plan covered logistics terminals and border crossings, roads and road transport, railway infrastructure and rolling stock, airports and aircraft fleets, and water transport with associated fleets and infrastructure.
Activities Performed
Led and managed a local team of 15 experts from various fields, including creating individual Terms of Reference, searching and assessing candidates, assigning tasks, and consolidating inputs. Conducted thorough problem analysis and identified key areas for improvement and development. Formulated objectives, principles, policy measures, projects, and activities to drive the growth of the country's transport and logistics sectors between 2023 and 2030. Served as the main writer and editor for the policy document, drafting approximately 80% of the final paper.
