Main Project Features
The objective of the project is to support the Roads Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of Kazakhstan in adopting a strategic approach to road infrastructure development that fosters the roll-out of electric vehicles on the national road network based upon the international best practice, modeling and analysis of EV deployment scenarios, and fully consistent with the country's stated policies and strategies. The Project will produce clear guidance as to what actions may be taken, when they should be taken (short, medium, and long term), and what are the resource implications.
Activities Performed
Conducting stakeholder analysis, preparing road infrastructure overview, reviewing policy and regulatory framework for roads and charging infrastructure, contributing to draft "readiness strategy" for the Roads Committee to support the roll-out of electric vehicles.
